Default (REQ) Single core MOD

Hi,
As some of you may know having a single core CPU with SH5 creates some graphical issues.
The speed of your CPU doesnt really matter, certain effects in the game run very slowly , this doesnt effect the FPS which can be very high (70+) at the same time.
Explosions, splashes , muzzel flashes and propellor wakes are all hit hard.
I suspect that these effects are coded to run on a second core , evidence for this is that if you switch your dual core to single with affinity it reproduces the problem.
I have 'played' around with goblin but it became clear that i wont be fixing this anytime soon!
Could the effects be optimised to run on a single core?
I have looked into an upgrade for my PC but the only CPUs that are compatible are S1G3 AMD chips and they are thin on the ground at the moment.

Any help on this would be appreciated greatly and i would be willing to test for you , or if you have a dual you could use affinity to disable one core for testing.

cpu is very important for gaming. rule of thumb really is, more stock Ghz and cores the better.

best to really put the hand in the pocket and get with the times and upgrade to at least min x2 cpu performance

many game companies are taking advantage of x2 x4 cpu systems today.

recommend Intel cpus never had any problems with these fantastic cpus.

i have a nice and still very fast Intel E8400 Socket 775 wolfdale ,running stock 3.0Ghz, runs sh5 great all round, little glitchy inside the uboat, but this is nvidia driver problems with the sim.. dev team are working on a patch to hopefully address this issue , and with shadows.

Default Single Core Here

I have to say overall the games runs pretty good. The explosions and gun fire as stated before the the only major problems.

Running:
Win 7
2 GB Ram
2.5 GHZ Intel Pent 4
ATI HD 3600 w/1 GB Ram
Sound Blaster Live

Maybe UBI will release a patch to improve it, mass effect 2 has just had a single core patch so it has a precedent!

From the Patch to come list.
'Improvements on particle performance on single core processors'
Don't know how this will affect other issues but it's a start.

Thanks much, this would be so awesome, I just can't afford a new rig in this economy, but I do love the game! thanks again.
