Ultra-Super-Uber Hearing

I'm within rock throwing distance between Ireland and England right now at night.

My ears are filled with the constant sound of a circular saw cutting wood, hammers pounding and pipes banging (the sound from the subpen).

Do you think I boosted my sound guy's abilities too much?

oh golly! You're at sea and you can hear it? The sawing too? VERY distressing!

Kind of (sort of) reminds me of a complaint from the Norwegian Navy years ago that they were having increasing difficulties tracking Soviet subs in the fjords due to their Sonarmen spending FAR too much time in loud discos while ashore... (or was that neutral Sweden?)

Yeah... I keep telling them "Silent Running" but they keep on with the construction crew.

I reloaded the game and the sound fixed itself.

I have had that looping sound also. Starting the game solved this problem.

I had this little bug as well and also had to reload the game to get rid of it. I could hear the refit crews at Wilhelmshaven all the way up in Norway. Still my soundman has concrete in his ears and can't find the enemy.

You should check the outside of your boat. Maybe someone is still finishing that upgrade you requested while in drydock
