Default Is e-bay SH5 game legit?

I saw a copy of SH5 on sale on E-bay. The seller stated that it would not work on the internet. So I sent him a message asking him how it was possible to play this game when it required a continuos online connection. He responded:
"Hi, its an import edition, it does not require internet connection because it wont be able to connect to servers in USA. So, its very simply, just install and play, but you cannot play online multi-player mode. Thanks."

B.S.?

It's either cracked or a scam, either way you should avoid it.

That's what I figured, but the price was high enough to speculate...

There are an increasing number of 'offers' on the internet.

Ignore them all like the plague.....God only knows what the discs contain.

And still. If it is a legal copy, but still installed on his system... You can not play at the same time... Another drm thing... You never can buy a 2nd hand copy.

I actually bought my copy from a seller on eBay within two weeks of its release. It was being offered by a reputable seller who had a number of other, "new, sealed" games available. Just search for the title - and, of course, check the seller's reputation. I ended up paying $33 US, including S&H. I had no intention of paying the more typical $47-$51 for it!

Well, sure, there's a big difference between a 'new in box' eBay sale and a 'won't work on the internet, just can't do such and such, but it's all good brother' eBay sale.

The hint in the original thread was "it does not require internet connection" so DRM isn't an issue.

Not to be touched with a bargepole

Shouldn't be ignored! You really should report seller/sale to eBay

It's not my style or my drama.....what would you do about the hundreds or maybe even thousands of torrent links?

Best not to get involved IMO.

I say report 'em. I don't like pirates, but I won't go out of my way to hassle them. (Laugh at 'em when they get infected with malware from downloading sketchy warez via torrents, yes )

But when someone's dirty enough to directly profit off of it... "I'm thinkin' somebody needs to put you down, dog. What do you think?" (I hate quoting Alliance, but it applies in this case...)

Report it to UBI... I'm sure they will be keen to see how they broke their DRM. Cheers

Sounds dodgy! Avoid it as you would avoid a Rat in 1665!

Plus, as someone said earlier. I don't like it but I can live with people pirating stuff for free. But profiting out of it is just down right disgusting! Report 'em!
