That will take some doing since the model would have to be built from the ground up.
Not saying its impossible but it will take a tremdous amount of work.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to soak the fans for more money on an expansion...

I'm gonna laugh my ass off if Ubi puts out 4 patchs, and then an expansion that has a 5th patch included in it as a carrot incentive. Oh, but this time instead of Monsun boats, they do Submarine Squadron 50. Both are footnotes in history, and both out of place for their normal theater.

Personally I wouldnt mind having a nice Schooner to go sailing in when on leave. Could just make a non-combat mission to use it in, and have it operating in neutral waters away from the war.
And I know plenty of good 3D modelers who make them for "Virtual Sailor".

Has virtual sailor gotten any better or is it still 'dated'.
(sorry for hijack but I have interest in this title)

i second that notion of having some rigged ships in the game, at least to see them on the water once in a while.

It's dated IMO, especially when compared to a sim like SH5. But it is a rather simple and very user variable program thats easy on a computer's resources. And extremely open to user content.

Extra subs will be added as downloadable content. A feature that I think is great if the price and quality is right.
Due to the detail that is in the model now I prefer this over the previous SH's
