Something I have never seen before...

I was in a 1xTC patrol today, and I was away from the computer for like 2 hours, I went into the supermarket... It took me longer then I expected.

When I got back, the view was as I left it, the bridge.

As I look to see whats going on, I see THIS!

Grid was BF1414. I was doing 17 kts, and he was going 9. We had the exact same course, and I was passing him by at the same time I got back home. This was the first time I had the feeling of truly being not alone in the Atlantic. Really was a good feeling, I took a bunch of screenshots. I reduced my speed to 9 kts and followed him as far as I could.

Made me happy, crossing the Atlantic with a companion, I thought I should share.

Cool. Did either of you ever submerge?

Too bad you couldn't communicate with each other: hand signals or something. That would have been as much fun as anything else in the game.

That's one thing I wouldn't mind at all doing. Sort of a mini wolf pack.

AI u-boats cant submerge.

but it is still a very cool chance encounter.

those sorts of things are known to happen in GWX.

Maybe it's the ghost of your last uboat and crew that you lost in your last 1xTC patrol, they're haunting you....

Did you hear the faint whispers of 'You shouldn't 'o surfaced.....' on the wind?

What I really want to know is, was the other ship's kommandant waving and yelling, "Thomsen! Das ist Thomsen!" ?

After patrolling the Atlantic for the last four years (in realtime) i finally decided to take a trip down to the Med and after hitting the Royal Navy quite hard in the Gibraltar Straights my U Boat limped to the Italian Port of La Spezia for repairs and crew replacements.
On my way into La Spezia I saw quite a few Italian warships and submarines coming in and out of port.
After a short patrol around the Eastern Med (fairly empty in mid 1941) i decided to head back for the Atlantic and encountered another Italian submarine heading back through the Straights of Gibraltar, it was good to see another friendly submarine and especially knowing that the Italians were striking against the Royal Navy in the absence of U Boats in the Gibraltar Straights, i will add some screenshots later

I believe he's using WAC 4.0, although I've got to say, I am now using Manos Environment Pro 2 on GWX and it's very similar.

@Hitman,

I've modified the original WAC 4.1 water, into a little more like my old Thomsen's Water.

But just a little bit, go increase the reflection and another smaller things I cant recall.

But the water is WAC 4.1 is pretty similar to that.

In fact, WAC 4.1 is more eye-candy than any other mod or supermod I have ever found for sh3, and I suggest you give it a go.
