Default [REQ] Uber Sub Mod. (lots of HP, torps, ammo etc)

its been a long time since ive posted or done a thing with the silent hunter series. I gave up on Sh4 due to the constant bugs in the campaign mode (save corruption etc..) so it was shelved. I did experiment with a few mods so im not completely lost when it comes to using the editors and such from here. Just wanted to make that clear before i continued.

*Note: if you dont like this idea, please do not flame/bash me for the idea or request, im not forcing you to do this remember? *

Id like to see a Uber or super sub mod with many many torpedoes in reserves. Faster, more HP, armor etc. My reasons? simple. Until i can get a handle on the simulator id like the option to keep fighting, shooting etc etc so i can actually train myself under the new system rather than becoming extremely frustrated with all the sh5 changes to Auto TDC and end up ramming ships hoping i can sink them. (im not kidding..)

That is the primary reason, the other is i take my frustration out in vid games most of the time and ..when the game adds to frustration it just makes things worse. (yes yes i tried boxing, all i did is hurt my hands.. )

If you dont have the time thats fine, could you offer info on which files to modifiy though? I know the VIIa sim/zon files are the ones to look at from sh4..but the data in sh5 is different. Do i need to somehow modify separate files for engines now or something? Or maybe im looking at the wrong submarine data files.

any advise (short of : i dont like this and more waaa) please let me know.

ps. if this was requested before, my apologies..but the search feature seems to be timing out on my end. Every time i try it resets or something else happens.

If its not done when I get the game - I will remake my Nuke Boats mod for SH5. However - I won't be getting the game until OSP goes away. So someone else may do it first. Post in the Mod forum - or since your familiar with modding a bit - do it yourself. Not much can be done on the NUMBER of torps you carry - but you can mod the torps to be 1 shot kills without an issue. Gun ammo storage should be easily moddable - as well as fire rate. Armor/HP is easy as well for the sub. Though depending on how flooding works - you still may crush. Change the depth settings and crush rate for that.

/facepalm bah sorry i thought i tossed this in the mods area.

Could a mod move this thread to the proper place? sorry guys.

Edit: Captin Haplo: i did find the zone and sim files but ..they are different from sh4. I couldnt find anything on the speed controls. Cfg files do not change the speeds. the older files had all the data in sim..or was it dat. ...bah i can never remember. Someone a while back did create an sh4 cheat sub a while ago, but the gentleman is no long with us

ill keep testing though. Thanks for the feedback.

Well if you mean the Nuke Boat or Titanium Boat mods - that was me that made them LOL. So the .dat and .zon files won't open in Silent 3ditor? Interesting. Sh5 supposedly uses the base sh3/4 engine - so the files should be roughly compatible. Dunno what to tell you - though if its still missing when OSP goes away and I thus buy Sh5, I will recreate those mods if possible.

sorry i cant type in english today lol.

The editor opens the file just fine, however where you would find ship information (such as speed, torpedo tubes and loadouts) all you see are a few reference numbers then only one cell about collision. You can mod HP at least.

im thinking they changed it (seeing how we only use one type of sub) so maybe the files im looking at are the wrong ones. IM also trying to mod the crews passive bonus stuff, maybe that will do it. Ill keep testing.
