Default Small Question Topic

Hai there, lets build a place where to group some "small" questoins. Thjis way we dont have to open tons of topics to learn some.

Some questions i have

- Can i change realism ones i have started my carreer
- where can i find the depth meter
- Can you use compressed air to refresch the sub while submerged
- my crew sometimes stays at the deck gun after o " have removed" them (this might be battle station result or bug)

Aye

- Can i change realism ones i have started my carreer Not in middle of an patrol, but when you're in the bunker, you should be able to change difficulty from the options.
- where can i find the depth meter It should be right there on the bottom left corner.
- Can you use compressed air to refresch the sub while submerged You mean like circulate fresh air in to the boat? No.
- my crew sometimes stays at the deck gun after o " have removed" them (this might be battle station result or bug) AFAIK, this is a bug with the moral system. Manning/securing deck gun or the flak gun takes one moral point, if you spent your watch officer's last morale point by manning the gun you might have problems securing it. Stupid, I know.

Deck gun is buggy, yes. For the moment, man it yourself. 2 crewmembers should pop up to man the gun. When you leave it, they won't fire since you never gave the order to man it.

F5 toggles man/secure gun. Telling the watch officer to man it and using F5 to secure should work, might be a bit flaky though. As far as I know, morale doesn't come into it; always been able to use it at will.

It ain't there, you can use the keyconfig mod to enable a key-combo.

Go to the commander and select option 1. On the map there are symbols, little round ones with a cross. Click one and it expands, giving a small description and the option to request a mission.

Every one of those objectives has a 'value'; sinking 50K on the east-coast scores you 1, sinking 100K on the western aproaches scores you 3, and you got 1 for completing the tutorial (Invasion of Poland). Basically at the top-left on the map is your total score.

Use the mouse-wheel, or home/end to turn the handle. For the volume only the mousewheel works.

Press and hold the left ctrl key the 'depth' display will change on the lower left to an analog depth gauge just click on the desired depth.

Although hitting a precise depth might be a little tricky you can get within 5 meters or so.

Or order a dive and when you approach the desired depth Shft+F is hold current depth.

Here are my small questions...

Where is the compass?

How do I man the flak gun?

Cant help you with the compass

The flak gun and deck gun i have managed to man sometimes with th F5 and F6 but the crew did not fire at the targets when they were close.
However you can man them yourself and fire them manualy by walking down to them and click the gun, but i guess you know this yourself.

Point at a target using your binocs and press 'space' to designate target.

Manning the flak- and deckgun requires 1 morale point from your watch officer, doesn't work if that's lacking.
