Docking your boat.... or not!

I thought that I would try and dock my boat in one of the pens at Keil only to find out that as soon as I reached the actual opening or mouth of the pen I get the same sound as if I had just steered my boat into solid iron. doesnt seem like you can actually dock your boat then.

This is really stupid. Anyone think this would be possibly moddable?

just realised i think you can only dock in one pen ...unlike in SH3 where all were available.... So at least there is one !
