When you start a campaign and pick difficulty besides altering outside camera view, if torpedo aiming is manual and what not does it also affect how easily you are detected and how hard the destroyers try before they finally give up? Or is that stuff the same no matter the difficulty level?
Long story shot, does it effect other things besides what I can alter in the game play menu after I have already started a campaign? |

The difficulty setting only affect your boat and game play.
In the TMO readme that, nobody reads, Ducimus explains how to change the escorts difficulty to some degree. FYI you must set game options in the office before you start a campaign patrol. The radio on the left side of the screen. Magic
