I've been thinking about the itinerary for the 2010 meet, and I've come to the conclusion that there are simply too many naval and maritime sites of interest in New England. Neal has already said that he wants to do the Submarine Force Museum, Battleship Cove, and the Boston Navy Yard at the very least, and he's mentioned the Boston Freedom Trail recently as a "potential" stop.
Since I've been selected to help manage the 2010 meet, I'm going to ask everyone which places they feel are absolutely essential, which would make an interesting side-trip, and which should just be outright ignored. The 2011 meet will be overseas and the 2012 meet probably won't be in New England again. Now is the time to come out and tell us what you'd like to see. I have a feeling this meet is going to be a hectic one! ![]() |
