Big proplem with SH111

Hi all i am new to this site but have been playing SH111 for years,i have just bought a new PC intel quad processor with NVIDIA Ge Force 8800 GT display. Trouble is when i go to TDC screen and fire my torpedoes the game freezes this happens every time wonder if anybody else has had this problem i have no problem with SH4 both are loaded from Ubisoft DVD hope someone can help!

Have you installed the latest Driver?
It's the first thing that came to my head, sry never heard of this issue.

Thanks for reply yes all drivers up to date in fact Ubisoft advised me to roll back graphics driver then to delete the main config from data file this didn't work got all patches ect

Hi,
There are several threads on Vista and windows7 problems; you need to check these.
Some suggestions:
Use a new disc for the game which is already patched to 1.4b, and starforce free. Available from Subsim for $9.99
Install outside of the program and program (86) folders.
Use a seperate folder for install.
I have the latest nVedia drivers and they work great; after you reinstall, try them out.
