Default Promoting adultery

Just received a message on Skype:
Quote:
There are thousands of unhappy married women and men in every city, but they DO NOT want to leave their spouse. They want to stay married, but they want to have an affair without ever being caught. Our dating community is extremely popular!

Having an affair can be stressful because you never know if the other person involved is going to get attached to you. You just want to have an intimate encounter and nothing else.

A great thing about this Discreet Dating Community For Married People is that there is no cost to join. You can check it out, see if you like it, and then begin contacting married people for secret intimate encounters.
Press here if you want to have an affair with a married person: <link removed>
Un****ing believable.

They spam a lot of crap, but this is bad imo, even for spam.

Believe it or not, I've actually heard ads for this or a similar 'service' played on local radio.

They didn't seem to be in the rotation for very long, maybe enough people found it distasteful and complained.

From what I learned on CBS News there are a few of those sites around. Makes me want to hork. I just hope that if I ever do find the one to marry or just share life with in general, that we are totally The Right Thing for each other. Meanwhile, I lurk and plan world domination... via highly trained attack gerbils.

AshleyMadison.com seems to be going strong though.

I guess that is the basis of Capitalism: Find a commercial need and fill it for a profit.

Personally I find the concept dishonourable.

There were ads like that in small independent newspapers long before there was an internet.

People do what they're going to do, and there's no stopping it without giving up more than you gain.

Such adverts even are on TV over here, though not at prime time, but from 2200 on - even on major channels, not just "specialised programs".

Steve is right, these things happen. But I take personal offense a bit from being confronted with it in such a public way (adverts, not Steve ). I do not wish to be confronted with such stuff in public life or public media. If couples cheat, it is their and not my business, but i do not want to be approached over it.

I guess what I dislike about it is the apparent disregard of the fact that the "service" they are offering involves the deliberate betrayal of a third (and maybe fourth) party's trust, which in today's world could even be life-threatening.

"Hey, are you looking for an even easier way to lie to and cheat on your partner and possibly expose them to a variety of life-altering and potentially fatal diseases? Well, we're here to help!"

I know people have been cheating on each other since the dawn of time, but someone trying to cash in on helping them do it - ugh.

That's the point I wish I could have made, Frau. I don't always find the words to convey my meaning.

Well, having once been the third party in question, I can find a LOT of words on the subject, lol.

I really don't care what consenting adults get up to, as long as nobody else is being lied to or betrayed in the process. There are such things as "open marriages" and as long as all parties know what's going on and freely agree to it, it's nobody else's business... but most of the time it's just a matter of one person wanting the benefits of having another person fully committed to *them* without the responsibility of being fully committed to anyone or anything themselves.

Yeah, like was said above - this is one of those things in life where a lot of people want to have their cake and eat it too, and those people can bite me.

And the people who appear in those "commercials" are people you would'nt want to F* in the first place.
That greasy guy who asks "are you looking for an adventure?" could not even convince me to leave a burning car wreck, let alone calling this number in order to contract STDs.

I suspect that's designed to appeal to other guys who look at him and see a mirror image of themselves, or someone even less attractive than they think they are, and who then think, "hey, if he can get some on the side, so can I!"

And, sadly, they probably can.

They probably can, but I will never understand those women who will date those slimeballs.
