Default Maybe a known bug but still....

Hi.

Does anyone have any information on a bug where the sim lose reference on being surfaced or submerged.

It comes like this:

Here the watch crew remains on station at PD. They also continue giving reports on visual sightings.

The other glitch is the opposite:

They never appear on watch after having surfaced. This glitch causes the CO2 levels to rise until you die.

The remedy I use is to make a save, go to main menue and then reload. Fixes it but still annoying.

I am using SHIV 1.5, RSRD, SCAF and PE4.0

Cheers

/OB

I think it only happens if you ALT+TAB the game to another application, and then return to the game

Aha!

Maybe better to run it in windowed mode then?

Thanks. I will try it out.

Cheers

If you really need to do also some other things on the computer while playing, yes. Run it in windowed mode rather than ALT+TAB cos' it messes the game, at least in the respect that you underlined above.

Don't do that if you're running vista Sp1 with visual effects enabled, sometimes screws the textures ingame pretty badly (or maybe it is my Catalyst 8.9 display driver, don't know yet)

You see a lot of this with 'high level' language developers where they never explicitly set/initialise control variables, and rely on 'toggles'.

Pure laziness on their part.

im pretty sure the crew underwater bug is mod related because i have never heard anyone running the stock game to have this issue.

if i had to guess i would say it was related to the environmental mods, strange glitches always go along with mods that make big environmental changes in the game.
