From SH3 to SH4 gold which are best mods

Hi can anyone suggest the best mods for SH4 wop uboat missions for graphics, gameplay and sound\atmosphere as I've just ordered the game. Many thanks

If you're going to be playing the US campaign in the Pacific, you have a choice between Trigger Maru Overhauled, Real Fleet Boat and Game Fixes Only. All have their supporters, and all are good. With any of them you'll want Run Silent, Run Deep, The Campaign, which rewrites all of the ocean traffic to more accurately reflect the way it was.

If you're sticking with the Atlantic, there is only one: Operation Monsun; and it's a good one, especially when used with its follow-on, Operation Monsun Enviromental and Graphical Update.

There are lots of cool single mods that adds to the experience, but those are the main ones that make it worth playing.

Thanks, yes planing to play Atlantic only. What about sound mods ?

I think there is a german sound mod, files from SH3 if I remember correctly.

There are several, ranging from one that takes the stock SH3 voices into SH4 to my own update of the Das Boot Sound Mod.

All available at Subsim Downloads, SH4 SFX section.

I really loved "Fall of the Rising Sun" by AOTD Mad Max et al.
Aircraft and ship models are superb! It's worth it just for extra ships and planes for the mission editor.

I'm still waiting on the IJN sunbmarine campaign.....lots of subs up and running but the campaign is still being polished. Once you launch a Kaiten into an Essex class carrier you just can't go back.
