Tips on healthy beer drinking?
I usually just hold the open end of the bottle against my mouth and tip the other end upwards. Seems to work well enough, at least for the first few bottles. Then I just promise the barkeep a really big tip, and he holds the bottles for me. |

A tip on healthy beer drinking?
Don't drink US beer, Heineken or Grolsch. Instead, drink either: - Dutch pilsner (GOOD Dutch pilsner so no Heineken or Grolsch) - Belgian beer - German beer ![]() Note: any failure to follow the aforementioned rules can, and usually will, result in severe mental injuries due to the shock caused by the sheer trauma of tasting the aforementioned toxins

Any brand names to look out for? I have an international market just around the corner with a huge beer/liquor dept, lots of imports, and chances are they will have some of 'em. Pretty much sticking to Beck's at the moment but certainly willing to try something different.

Probably won't have it but Saku, an Estonian beer, is pretty good.
I'm also fond of the Czech beer variety, brands such as Velkopopovicky (difficult to say after you've had a few), Staropramen and Krusoviche. Porters are usually good too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porter_%28beer%29 |

Saku is pretty good, but the downside is that smaller shops dont usually sell it.

About Hoegaarden...I remember when I went from Holland to France on a bus and in France the cops took me along with some others to a random check. The cop asked if I had any drugs on me and I said I have one beer, Hoegaarden which I did have. The cop started to praise the taste of it, "Oh Hoegaarden, it's so sweet and lemony! Wise choice!" I don't think he was a very good drug cop.
