Default GWX 3.0 ...Wow! Thanks!

Just a fast message of thanks to the Grey Wolves for their fantastic mod (GWX 3.0). I am a newbie and played SH3 for a months now noting all the potential but fairly satisfied but this mod raises it to a new plane and - well - it's just bloody fantastic! And, they have paid so much attention to detail on even the simple things. I am truly amazed. Astounded! I was totally immersed last night…gone…completely, totally in 1939.

I do hope that UbiSoft has been in contact with the Wolves to get some tips or at least look over their mod to capture some of its wonder in SH5.

Astounding! Thanks!

Rick

We can never thank the GWX people enough or too often for the improvements to the game.

I agree it is amazing having a mod like GWX installed. I have never been able to go back to playing stock.

I have to say thank you to all the modders here at subsim for all the great mods they come up with.

On behalf of the GWX devs and crew, you are quite welcome, and we are glad you are enjoying our work.

It was indeed a massive labor of love built by many hands, and spanned roughly four years from start to finish.

@ RickR: The Silent Hunter devs are well aware of our work and have looked at it closely. Infact I think that Dan Dimetrescu is probably about ready to strangle us all if we meet again. (Somewhere there is a picture floating around that was taken at the Houston Subsim meet where he is pretending to stab me in the back.... That dude is TALL!) Really nice guy though... with a wicked sense of humor.

Dan did pay the GWX team high praise though, when he said that many of the Silent Hunter Dev team actually played SH3 with GWX installed.

As far as the GWX team is concerned though, we are thankful that the Silent Hunter devs built SH3. Without SH3, there would be NO GWX.

Sink'em all kaleuns!

I distinctly remember somebody else trying to 'stab' you in Houston but luckily he was wearing high heels and you were able to run away from him/her or whatever it was

Well said Kpt Lehmann and point well taken. The GWX team et. al., will no doubt go down in the history of sub-sims as one of the highest acheivements in game modding--- to you all! (everytime I play the game!)

But would it be too much wishful thinking on my part to hope that the Dev-Team might be persuaded to leave enough openings in SHV to allow development/modding of a serious wolfpack option? In career that is?
