After the asswipe Airborne, I doubt this will sell. Besides, are they idiots? They think they can just come in and hope to make a buck with modern warfare game? Have they ever heard of COD:MW & MW2?

I think that's exactly what they're hoping to cash in on.

And from what I can tell, indirectly, MW2 isn't going to have the lasting apeal like MW.

Well if they make good Sp campaign with an at least decent script and make it more slow paced then MW2 then I am sure alot of gamers would enjoy it.
I personally hope for a little good old R6 flavor to the mission approaches to be honest there are not many games out there for the hardcore R6 fans. And since Dice is doing the MP then I have some hopes for that as well.

I have not played MW2 but from what I gather it is so intense that you hardly have a small minute break, its all gun hu all the way through, I hope Medal of Honor do NOT go that route.

And of course I hope we might get a longer campaign then MW2 can show for as well.

We're talking about EA here. They are all about getting money, so that's a no-go for a more tactical shooter I'm afraid.

Im one! R6 was a good tactical game - take most of your time actually planning the mission only to find it goes wahoonie shaped

A 'New' MOH game?!

...after the misbegotten offspring that was Airborne (I wanted to like it I tried to like it, I really, really did) I'll not be giving EA squat for any of their games.

They had a proven and popular product with the MOH series and they just ran it into the ground. Pitty they ever screwed it up in the first place, without having a modern style shooter attempt to resurrect the franchise from the grave.

We all know what to do when faced with a zombie - shoot it in the head with the largest calibre round available.

Well put.

Airborne was something so idiotic and so "mainstream" that I dont think there is many older fans left anymore for EA to sell the new MOH to. Perfect example of shooting yerself in the foot.

This would be best, no one would have to be prosecuted for murder...

For a moment there, I thought it was a MW2 trailer. Seems like a shameless rip-off to me.

Haha, that could very well be a trailer for MW.

It seems the two will be very similar (well, from what you can see from the trailer). But I already know what will handicap MoH; EA's policy of getting their games a T rating. So, no blood, no cool "twist-knife-out-of-your-own-chest-with-blood-and-stuff" moments like MW had.
