Default Could Someone Help Me With This?

I would like to transfer over the cameras.dat values used in DD open hatch mod, and to the cameras.dat file used in the widescreen mod. I have SH3 editor, but I'm not sure what subcatigories those values would be located in.

any help would be great! I just hate the "splat" view stock givew you on a widescreen, but I still love dd's mod,

Thanks!

Moin U-48,

it would be easier to use OH´s 'cameras.dat' and apply the widescreen mod changes to it than the other way round. I´m already in contact with 'Rubini' and planning to release a widescreen fix too. But if you can´t wait, go ahead and do it yourself. Here´s a bit of advise.

Browse to:
  • Node - Dummy_Cam_...
    • CameraParams
For each cam entry in cameras.dat you´ll have to adjust the aperture angle (AngularAngle) and -most important- the 'viewport right' value. I recommend to copy the data from 'Rubini's' ws mod cameras.dat and just paste them into OH´s version of the file. That should do the trick.

Have fun modding,
DD

wow, Great DD!

Well, I'm really new to SH3 Editor, so I'll just wait. But for me, widescreen is a must!

Thanks DD!

It is a great tool and easy to learn. Copy the file to desktop and mess with it. Once you learn to use the tool, you can do all sorts of things.
If you then set up your altered file in a JSGME form, you can't hurt your install no matter what you do.
