Default 10 general misconceptions

A short list of common misconceptions.

While some are obviously 'arguable' many are more than likely to be contrary to what you have been taught.

For instance Napolian was 5'-7" so much for all those short jokes.

"Einstein got bad grades in school"

This has some truth to it.
Whilst he did fine in school, he failed the entrance exam for university.
However, he was young and he didn't fail on his specialist subjects.

"Lemmings Throw Themselves Over Cliffs"

Again, there is a little truth. Lemmings will attempt to go down, or get
pushed down cliffs and lakes they can't pass. It isn't suicide, but it does
kill some.
It isn't unique to lemmings at all tho.

Not back then.
Human height appears to fluctuate in long historical cycles and the
standard of food available also has a big effect.
For the last few thousand years people have been getting slowly taller.
Since Napoleon, food imports have accelerated the trend temporally.
