Default Deeper than 450 feet guage?

Hello, currently I am playing SH 4 with the Trigger Maru mod enabled and really enjoying this game for the first time since it was released actually, new quad core is helping :-)

One question though, I am currently in a Balao Class submarine and I know they can go down to 600ft but the main depth gauge only reads 450 feet. I saw a deep guage in the d/l section but tht only pertains to the deep gauge on the bulkhead between the two diving planes (not controllable) I am looking for a deeper gause that I can actually set that works that is located at the lower right of my screen, is there such a thing with this game?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Depends what version of TM, the gauge on my TM is clickable by the dive planes and up in the CR. Try Beta 1.8 at the site link below my sig.

>>but the main depth gauge only reads 450 feet.

If the depth gauge in the interior only says 450, there's a problem. Mod might not be installed right. If you mean the gauge on the orders bar, yes it says 450, but theres a way around that.

Currently in TMO 1.7:

In the first ordersbar tab, on the far right there should be a button, with a diagnal down arrow. That is to set the dive planes to a deep dive. If you press it (shortkey key is SHIFT + D) , you'll get an auditory confirmation from the diving officer. Having pressed that, the boat won't stop diving until you tell it to stop via, pressing the A key, to maintain current depth.

Future versions of TMO (called 1.8 for now)

This functionality will be changed. For all "thin skin" boats, to exceed 450 feet, you'll have to click on, and set your depth via the depth gauge in the conning tower interior. I changed it to be a 600 ft gauge, and it is located at the planesman's station.

For JUST the "thick skin" boats. (balao/tench), pressing the D key will work the same as the deep dive key in TMO 1.7, so don't forget to press the A key.. (With thin skin boats, the D key will still level off at the subs test depth.) Crash drive, instead of leveling off at 165 feet, will be your test depth of 400 ft. This is for thick skins only.

The reason for this change, is once i figured out how to make dials clickable in 3d, it freed up a function which allowed me to reintroduce radar depth.
