Default The jDome - New way of gaming

This is blardy awesome! Watch the video, see them play COD and how they have an advantage over monitor players. They see more than what a monitor player would see on screen. The jdome and SH5 Hell yeah! Only problem i have with it is having to stand otherwise setting this up to be in a sitting position would be far better.

If you get the ''Vid not available in your country'' just register and your be able to view the video otherwise search on youtube for the vid.

The jDome Limited Edition is now available for order - the immersive gaming screen which is just using your regular hardware and software and a home theater projector. In this video we will showcase the foldablitity (patent pending) of the jDome. Also some breif clips from different exhibitions we have been to and what people think of the jDome. New game clips from Doom III and HalfLife 2.

Cute though when its dark it looses the immersion value as you can see the screen.

maybe he should make a headset one, with head motion tracking...

hell yeah.

The standing seems awkward. How about just make it not such a huge contstruct and just have it set up so you can slide your chair in there. That would be really neat, surrounded by your game like that. I can see this idea being taken further with some sort of gaming pod. I want to play Mech Warrior with that thing.

I'm not very wise on projectors. Could I still play in any resolution my pc will allow? The video seemed too busy harping on how great it was that I didn't hear much about it.

That looks perty awesome... I bet my friends would ridicule me for getting one though :P

But if I did have one I bet it would be hard to go back to normal gaming, in much the same way that I can't go back to playing flight-sims without a trackIR

Pretty cool, but it looks like the image gets kinda distorted. Like NeonSamurai said, I'd rather one of these.

EDIT: on a side note, just noticed this and this on Vuzix's website, i mean how awesome are they? They have to be the future of gaming. I so want them...
