Out on patrol, if I use the UZO or Periscope and I click to look around with my mouse, when I click again for the mouse arrow back it's always comes back over the fire torpedo button and whoosh! there goes a torp off into the blue, wasted.
![]() My temporary fix is to hit F1 twice really quick to get my pointer back, but it's not the easiest thing to do/remember when things are getting crazy. Some help would be greatly appreciated, I've been searching high and low for the last 2 days for a fix for this but am not having any luck finding one. -T |

I just started using the resolution fix (using 1920x1080 also). I was amazed to see how good the game looked at a higher resolution.
![]() However, I am also having the same problem as you. Anytime I am using a periscope or UZO and click the mouse to get my pointer back....whoosh....another wasted torp. ![]() Wish I knew how to fix. ???Anybody??? |

I still don't have a fix for this, though I've looked long and hard for something that would work.
I have, however started to grow accustomed to using the keyboard shortcuts for things instead of the mouse. Where i was used to clicking to get my cursor back, I hit F1 instead (to bring it back when needed) Instead of clicking the red launch torp button, i use the shortcut ctrl-enter and the 'y' key to cycle tubes. Depth control, direction and speed I now all control with the keyboard as well. I'm starting to adapt to all this from being a mouse using click happy s.o.b but I would still love to find a way to fix this problem. Sometimes while peering out my scope if something startles me I twitch and click and ah damn there goes a torp. ![]() I'm almost considering posting this in the SHIV area just for extra exposure. :-/ |

I've been using the res fix for 3 years and have never come across the problem you are describing. It sounds like something specific to your machine/config. What other mods are you using?

It's down to that specific resolution. You nailed it in the first post.
The position of the cursor when it comes back after being hidden is hardcoded and will always be where you describe when using that resolution. Apart from the workaround you have described the only other way would be to disable the clickable nature of the Fire button (but that's not a great help).

Yep, that's correct. I have been running 1600x1200 and the problem disappeared.
