Default Charlie Rangel

Things arent going well for Mr. Rangel and the Democratic party for that matter.

Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee and noted tax cheat comes under fire.

The Black Cacus take up Mr. Rangels defense.

How this guy is still in office is beyond me.

It is beyond me why a lot are still in office. Pelosi for starters.

I just want Rangel (and the other unethical scumbags in congress regardless of party) put on trial. Confront them with the evidence.

If they are guilty, impeach them
If they are not guilty, leave them alone

Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I hate that these "ethics investigations" seem to take forever. If "everyone knows" that Rangle is guilty, then it should be an easy trial...if there is evidence of guilt. We don't need to prove every single instance of unethical behaviour. Just one is enough to get kicked out of congress, in my opinion.

I also believe that even though a person is innocent until proven guilty, I do not see anything wrong with temporarily removing someone from their position pending a ethics investigation. That's what would happen to me in my job... if I were not just fired outright based only on the accusation that is.

I think the Democrats messed this up. There is really no way they can defend themselves against the accusation of cronyism.

I have a hard time typing with a straight face when I am discussing ethics and congress, but it sure would be nice if the politicians in congress could at least fake being ethical.....just for the novelty of it.
