Default ATI card help request

There's a Nvidia tweaks thread, but I can't find too much about ATI Radeon cards. Can anyone suggest the best ATI graphic card settings for playing SH3/4 please?

I've got a Radeon HD 4650 graphic card 1 gb memory
AMD athlon 64 x2 4200
4GB ram
250GB sata hard drive
Windows xp

any help appreciated.

i dont recall ever seeing anyone having complaints or recommendations about using ATI cards but i cant say if its because they work ok the way they are out of the box or if its because not very many people are using them.

No complaints. Just wondering if it can be better than it is 'out of the box'. I am so used to nvidia. This is my first ATI Radeon. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with them, that they could share.

I have an ATI x1650 pro with 512mb of memory. For SH3 I use 4xAA and 8xAF and get decent framerates with these settings. By the look of it, your card is higher spec than mine so you may be able to push the settings higher and still achieve good results. Can't comment on SH4 though as I haven't got it installed.

Just try different settings and settle on performance vs beauty.

Just remember to try only one setting at a time. If you change 3 things and your frame rates get crushed you wont know which of the 3 did it

I personally have an older ati card X1800 and run settings similar to those above with good frame rates.
