Cntrl N for whatever reason resets the screen and usually changes the weather. Can't remember who told me, but it doe's work. It may be due to mods, so don't know if it works with every set up.

Also if you run into those fast water screwed up choppy screens it will solve that.

Your english is fine!

Sometimes, with missions in SH4 you have to just come to a complete stop near the designated coordinates. It has nothing to do with finding anything, try coming to a complete stop (0 knots) at one of the blue squares and wait a few minutes on low TC (x4, x8).

Pilots drift. Scan the horizon for orange smoke. (And I wouldn't use TC at all ... makes the pilots drift even faster. But that's just me.)

Time for you to read the SHIV guide. Saving pilots is towards the bottom of the first thread. Lot's of overall info that any new player needs to know. Also think the smoke is pinkish.

Did you send in a report that you'd pulled the pilots out of the drink? Hit F-11 and there should be an envelope you can use to request a new mission.

They drowned........ That happens again keep looking around doing search patterns and you may find more. If you didn't rescue enough pilots mission incomplete. May still be some. Per previous post do a status report. If it tells you to continue mission, you can probably find more pilots. If it gives you a new mission....time to move on.

This is the number one aggrivatting mission offered.

Thank god mods take it out.

But when I did get this mission I would typically ignore it because I knew the aggrivation I was in for.

How in the heck the downed pilots scoot around at 10 knots Ill never know.

I remember using sonar to find them ... thats about it.

Not a lot of merchant traffic in the Solomons. You may enjoy RSRD, it layers historical traffic correctly, adds some ships, planes, correct map labels, ect.

Lot of good battles in the Solomons, not a lot of merchant traffic. If you're playing stock, not sure how well it scripts all the convoys and TF groups coming down the slot, but if you have RSRD, just sit in the slot 42 and early 43 and you'll have plenty to shoot act.

Most of these battles are well scripted in RSRD. You can check out the action is the Solomon's. in this map..as other battles. http://combinedfleet.com/battles/

TMO mod has the map with all the shipping lanes. If you don't want to load a supermod, I think the radio with map is a seperater smaller mod that I can find for you if you want it.

You'll find more merchants in the Bismark Sea near Rabaul.

I did you a SS. If you look at the pull down map on it with the radio you see a shipping lane from Rabaul to Rekata Bay. I made some pencil marks on my game map so you can see it. Some merchant traffic there through 42. Not sure what mods you use, but you should be able to tell.
