What the heck is with this forum? For the life of me I can't figure out how you guys are reading the threads here... I visit A LOT of forums, and I've never had such difficulty.

It either displays threads in the wrong order (last post first, instead of the first post first, or it only shows half a dozen posts and the others are lost somewhere...)
I've made posts only to realize afterward that there are 2 pages of posts before mine already.

Isn't there a way to sort ALL threads / posts by ascending/descending order? I hate trying to find the first post of any given thread ... why are we working backwards here? Neither the thread mode nor hybrid mode do this.

I guess what I'm looking for is LINEAR MODE but from original post to most recent, not most recent to first post. Understand? That is the forum default for the dozen or so other forums I frequent. Seems so backwards here.

We're not backwards, we're inside-out!

Okay, here's what you do:

1) Click on UserCP (upper right-hand corner of the screen)

2) Scroll down to Edit Options, and click on that

3) Scroll down to Thread Display Options

4) From there you can change the order of display (you want Oldest First) and how many posts are displayed on each page, and how far back the display will go

Have fun!

I don't.
And this forum's "View First Unread" option is a major time-saver I'd like to see in a few other forums.

perhaps if you are reading this forum hourly and keep up-to-date, I could see it. But for casual 'lurkers', it can be a PITA.

I've always thought that 'First post first' was the default. But then, I've been here so long that I may have just forgotten.
