So I just discovered the wonders of SH3 Commander and I must say - it is quite awesome! I was wondering how one should handle a mid-patrol save. I started my first patrol thru SH3 Commander and saved while I was in the middle of the ocean. When I quit the game I was returned to SH3 Commander, which reports my status as "In home base before Patrol 2". If I want to reload my save, do I start SH3 through SH3 Commander, or should I just start SH3 from the original shortcut (w/o SH3 Commander running)?
Looking forward to some more GWX soon ![]() |

SH3 is really awesome I agree
![]() Are you sure you chose the save and exit option? If you were in excess of 50km from your home base this should not have happened. It looks like you'll have no option but to restart the patrol. |

Hey there.
Did you say you wanted to save during your first patrol? It sounds to me like you saved mid-patrol, but afterwards accidentally returned to base and saved again (I have done this multiple times :|). To avoid this I save mid-patrol and simply alt-f4 to exit with no "return to base" dialogue. Unless I actually want to dock of course... If this is the case, you can start sh3, delete the extra saves, quit sh3 and and then restart sh3 commander. Sh3 commander should now recognize that you are at sea during your first patrol. humble |
