hey, im running Sh4 with U-boat mission addon, is it possible to come to the defense of wake island or is it not really programmed into the game.

The stock game does not model historical reality very well at all. Perhaps you would be interested in the Run Silent, Run Deep modification. This mod replicates the historical movement of convoys and task forces.
