As often with displays of exquisite cruelty, it makes you wonder how our species ever manged to be still here. And if animals that do not do such things really can be considered to be so inferior to us.

Looking at this as objectively as I can, I have to come to the conclusion that the human species can not be considered a successful species.

We laugh at the "dumb" dinosaurs, but they lived for hundreds of millions of years.

Humans have been around for about 50,000 years and it does not look too good that we will survive to make it to even 100,000 years.

Like all unsuccessful species, we will become extinct and nature will still thrive. Sometimes it just takes a while for extinction.
