Default Horrible car crash on Queen's day in Holland

http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archive...shes_close.php

seeying the video of this accident, it leaves a shocking impression.
the car crashed through the masses of people

how this could happen in the first place is still a mystery as everything was locked off for the regular traffic.

video here:

You beat me to it.
Mayor has a couple of things to answer for, I guess.

Alternative source (first one is terribly slow at the moment, try this if that one doesn't work).

From what I gather from current reports there are 2 confirmed deaths and 12 injured.

I really wonder whether that was just an accident.
It's almost a wonder no one died.

suspected is that this is indeed an attack on the bus.

more stuff remains unknown other then that the royal house is shocked and ofcourse the situation how to continue this festivity, in most provinces it has been cancelled or adjusted in respect for the victims.

It would have to be some sort of attack on the bus.

UPDATE:

4 deaths
13 wounded

the 38 year old driver is to be suspected for commiting an attack on the royal house.
according the news he seemed to have followed the royal bus for more then 20 minutes in his car and has been send away by one of the road-blocks before this happend.

EDIT:

a cold chill down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck are standing straight up seeying this footage of the victims shorty after been hit.

warning this may be shocking for some people:

the driver should be locked up for a lifetime for this...

a sad day in the Netherlands...
a day which should have been full of joy.

Latest news says it's 5 dead, 13 injured of which 5 seriously.

http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archive...ate_atta_2.php

A small article about the driver:
Quote:
The 38-year-old man arrested for driving his car into the crowd watching a royal parade in Apeldoorn on Thursday, killing five people, was described as a 'quiet' man by neighbours.
The Telegraaf reports that the man, Karst T, worked as a security guard but lost his job several weeks ago.
He had given up his house in the Gelderland village of Huissen because he could no longer afford the rent, the Telegraaf said. New tenants were due to move into the property on May 1.

Who is the driver? "38 year old Dutch man" (so said the news) is a bit thin as info.

What a nut! My sympathies for those who have been injured, or have lost loved ones.

The driver died from his injuries in hospital this night. Police will investigate whether or not more people were involved, but this seems unlikely.

http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archive...ver_dies_s.php

Seems like the guy acted out of frustration because he lost his job and his house IMO. What a truly pointless act, it just doesn't make any sense at all.
