Whilst on the Star Trek theme.....I had the priveledge of dining with Patrick Stewart a few months back and without directly stating the fact he gave me the impression he was not overly impressed with Kirks character portrayal but he was quite clear in his enthusiasm of Dr Who.

Colemans fish and chip restaurant, Ocean Road, South Shields.

The traditional meal was spruced up a bit with a seafood platter for starters....mushy peas on request for the main course and a choice of desserts.

That was interesting, except for the annoying music. Strange, I swear I could hear SH3 hull creaking sounds in there...

Kirk rules, there never would have been a Picard without James T. Kirk (my ship!). Let Stewart chew on that.

Actually, Ken Livingstones appearance two years ago was a really fascinating lecture, his chosen topic was global warming and he gave tips on how everyone could do their little bit to help, such as not flushing the toilet in the middle of the night if you've only been for a pee

@Neal......What music?

I gotta agree. Kirk was the best Star Trek captain by far.
