If you think it's not at a center you can aim/fire manually without using the lock option.
Why you need this anyway ?

Hi makman,

I'm visiting the forum now and notice your question. Some time ago when i was working on the Wide Screen mod I needed to adjust the new lock point for the peri/uzo/bino (as they have moved by the screen adjust) and, IIRC, I found the solution on the menu_1024 file. If i recall well you need to found the entry that adjust/draw the reticular lines for each peri/uzo/bino and adjust their draw position. Sorry to not have more info now but take a look there.

Hi makman94,
A screenshot would help to identify the problem and pinpoint the cause.
Here's a thread that might help you.

hello Rubini, i didn't have problem with the center of peri (this is ok) but i had 'problem' with the locking at the exact CENTER OF THE SHIP.
at the first shot the peri is locking exactly at the center (aob=about 90) but what was confused me is at the second shot (aob=about 30).as you can see the bow is a bit lower than 7 marks but the stern is about 7.5(the horizontal marks are drawn and counted pixel by pixel ,made by me)

but i figured out what going on and everything is absolutely normal !

@Badwolf, thank you for your reply

hello FIREWALL,
when you say ''stuff'' can you be more specific about what you are interested in?

@FIREWALL, most of them are tga's that i have copied from other mods like wac3,nygm...etc and placed them inside olc's gui.as concernes the optics, this is my mod called '' new optics+stadimeter-x6 or x15 ''.

well...the problem with centering remains! today i tested the greek 'bulldog' AVEROF and look what i got (aob=90)
i have the suspecion that the values that adjust the center of the ships are inside their cfg files.....or not ? does anybody know something about this??

Try deleteing the 2d Compartments in the Averoff cfg file.
If that changes nothing?
I'd suspect the information is gathered from the bounding box of the units.

SH3 does not see a Ship.
It see's a Box.

From your earlier postings,
As I looked at them I suspected a Bounding Box thing.
At an AOB of 90 you should be close to exact center.
But at an AOB of 30?
A box would distort the center.
The Averoff has a flag staff at the back.
It could increase the Bounding Box size.
We would not see it,
but the Game Engine would.

yes Privateer.that was my thought also, thats why i said at my earlier post that i figured this out.untill i tested AVEROF.AT AOB 90 NOT centered.
about your suggestion: i tested that and nothing changed.not centering.
do you know what these values means ? (i think are adjusting the 'box' ,but what each number adjusting?)
UnitPos=87,17,338,11

edit: '' The Averoff has a flag staff at the back.

--can be so big this invisible box?

thank you for helping me
