Default need some serious help with the game

hello,
I have purchased SH4 gold and installed it on my laptop. It's video card is not up to snuff and it affects the speed/performance of the game itself. I think.

I attempted the tutorial but unfortunately, there was no actual lesson. I just set there, pushing buttons and managed to surface the sub and torpedo one of my own ships. Never heard any instructor voice or anything. Is there an actual "lesson" to this game? If so, I'm thinking I need to run this game on a different machine.

What should I do? There is no manual in the box except for keyboard shortcuts. The tutorial appeared non-existent (unless pc wasn't acting properly).
Let me know.

Yeah thats what I'm worried about my own self... my video card not being able to run SH4 when I get it. I will tell you I found some great info and tutorials in the download section - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...hp?do=cat&id=2 - and I was lucky enough to snag some tutorial videos off of filefront before they shut down... oh wait, one of them is here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...=112591&page=4

Hope it helps.

There is a manual on the SH4 disk, it's not much help but covers the basics.
About the only suggestion I can make is to go to one of tutorials and play around with all the various tools and commands to see what they all do.
You can find some help here:

It all seems complicated at first but you will soon get the hang of it, just stick with it. The Sim is well worth the effort.

Laptops are pretty weak for this sim. I have a manual I can give you if you PM me with your info. But again unless you have the newest Toshiba laptop, you are gonna have problems running this game.
