Map room questions

Can anyone describe to me how the mod

IMPERIAL 360 DEGREE BEARING PLOTTER
behaves ?
Is it like the true bearing compass in the Mobo software? Can you drop it anywhere on your map? etc.

Also,
Is there a way to see my true bearing at any time. The compass is just guesswork to me.

It makes the little picture of your sub into a little picture of your sub plus a huge protractor. It turns with your sub, making plotting relative bearing very easy.
