Default FILE FRONT CLOSING...move your files

just recieved a notice that File Front is closing, if you have archived files, and many do here, save them and find a new home. I am looking currently but have not yet found a suitable alternative.

just wanted to give a heads up. Spread the word pls.

Dear FileFront User:

We regret to inform you that due to the current economic conditions we are
forced to indefinitely suspend the FileFront site operations on March 30,
2009. If you have uploaded files, images or posted blogs, or if you would
like to download some of your favorite files, please take this opportunity
to download them before March 30th when the site will be suspended.

We would like to give a warm thank you to all of you who have been part of
the FileFront communities we have built together. Your support has had a
meaningful impact for all of us here at FileFront. Again, we want to give
you a sincere “thank you” for your support over the years and wish you all
the very best.

Keep gaming alive,
FileFront Management and Team.

Never cared much for File Front, however sorry to see them go.

Thanks for the heads up, you may want to cross post this into the modding forum.

But on the bright side we are now blessed with a 'downloads' section right here at subsim. So if you have sub/naval game stuff stashed on FF you might want to look into using this site.

Thanks Neil !

This is actually disastrous. If FF is having problems what other sites are having similar issues? I like to get stuff from FF, very little hassles, no kittys, no barely visible letters to type.

This really sucks. Thank you greedy financial sector that drove our country deeper than a Gato can go!!!!

Don't forget to thank the government that is going to bail out those mulit-millionaires with the paychecks of the minimum wage workers. I don't see anyone running in to bail out filefront or any other 'small' business.
