Default Cool Shotgun

Spring Turkey Season is starting up this week.

Outfitting myself with a new boomstick to chase the gobblers with. The last part (the stock) came in today and I finally got it all together tonight.

This is a Remington 870 Express 3" Magnum Load 12 Gauge Shotgun with a few aftermarket goodies.

That's a Knox Blackhawk adjustable pistol grip stock with dual recoil suppressors (one in the stock, one in the handle). The scope mount is the Aimtech ASM2 and that's a Barska red-dot laser reflex sight mounted on top.

The barrel is the standard 26" choke threaded barrel that came with the 870. For turkey hunting, I changed out the standard RemChoke for a full choke. This one from Primos is called the "Tight Wad" (granted, kinda stupid name but I guess it's fitting).

It's hard to get a good picture of the laser sight thru the little HUD, but this at least gives you some idea of what it looks like. That's just an image in the HUD, it doesn't project a laser. You keep both eyes wide open and focused on the action downrange; then just swing the gun around until this magic red dot is on your target and BOOM! Very cool gadget.
