i think it looks ok like it is, the foam stops when the skinny part of the tube is at the surface.
your not going all that fast under water and at periscope depth the periscope tube wouldnt leave much foam anyway i think if you made the periscope wake a lot brighter it would give you the look your going for |

What Webster said. The faster you go, the bigger the rooster tail (foam). The thinner the obstruction (periscope), the smaller the rooster tail.

It's not new ...
it must be 3D ... too ... :-))) (3D covered by 2D) ... if you use splash, it's necessery adjust it (now looks not good) ... but small splash difficultly to adjust ... P.S. and in game terminology it's wake^siaj^splash ...
