Hi all,
1. I will install GWX, but need to keep the original water darkness and transparency of SH3. So, that way it's easier for my kid to play SH3. What would be the procedure ? 2. Is it a way to also keep the small orange ARROW/CIRCLE we see above the sub when submerged ? Great job guys ! Thanks for your support ! Mike |

Welcome to Subsim.
![]() Easiest way to keep or get Stock transparency levels for the water in GWX is to use SH3 Commander. You can set it to any level you like. To keep the Submerged marker, search your Stock 1.4b install for a file called UMark.tga, save this somewhere and after you have installed GWX, copy & paste it back into it's original location. A word of advice, GWX is a step up in realism and therefore difficulty. So if your kid enjoys surface battles, easy targets and roll over & die aircraft, then it maybe best to keep a Stock install somewhere on your HDD. ![]()
