Default for those who think surfaced attacks arent possible

its VERY possible you can get to point blank range, you can do it just like the real kaleuns did

this is early 1941 type viic attacking a large convoy southwest of ireland

gwx3 sh3cmdr full realism minus external cam and event cam for screenie taking purposes

i approached directly from behind the convoy with 1 escort taking point and 2 escorts on port and starboard on the convoy take my time watch the pattern of the escorts wait for a gap go ahead flank right up the convoys bum and fire torpedos then pull full 180 turn and crash dive

just thought id share/gloat

its totally possible if your careful

When the night is pitch black, of course you can!
I oneshotted a Flower Class with my deck gun once.
But the night wasnt as bright as this one is. I noticed it while is was going back to the convoy and it passed about 100m next to me.

I don't think anyone said it wasn't possible. I think the point was that it was harder in the stock game.

I don't belive that people think there impossible. They are just more difficult with GWX, than with vanilla. They take ALOT more patience.

Not to mention, once they get a hint of your presence, your attack run is pretty much over.
