Default Deck gun muzzle halo

Adjust the muzzle halo, though some are exaggerated, it will be very difficult. The most troubling is that after adjust test preparation time necessary to restart the computer again .Otherwise, you will not be able to adjust to see the results of.
Even if you delete this file, SH4 is still in accordance with the former once you adjust to runing.
I will faint

Might be a bit exaggerated but it sure looks cool Actually, that size flame you might see coming from the cannon of the battleships.

how can you change the AA guns from using that "basic" white spot to look more like fire and smoke?

the flash also looks to come from the breach or midpoint of the gun and not the end of the barrel but maybe its just the flashbulb effect making it hard to see.

i looked at fire_all for my deck gun muzzle flash mod but found out thats only for deck guns and is not used for AA guns

would you have time in your busy schedule to fix this issue with AA guns?

what would be nice to have is the chock wave effect on the water like on this picture.

The halo it self isn't much seen during the day but at dusk/night. cheers

I've only found it necessary to restart SH4, not the whole computer, when testing particle effects. You shouldn't have to shut down and restart to test changes.

This is not completed by MOD, the color of the flame I have yet to adjust. This requires a lot of time to complete.

Very strange. I even delete the files, re-run SH4, the results did not lose anything.

i have found both of you are right, some things NEED a reboot and some things just need to restart the game.

its something in the settings i think windows "remembers" your last setup for faster loading or something like that. it all depends on "what" your changing as to which restart method you need to use.

If that is the case that prefetch settings are stored, then maybe you can use a program like CCleaner to wipe it out without restart.

Maybe.

W-clear - as always - the looks of the work you do are stunning. I have a quick request - am working on the TSWSM and we've been trying to make the halo darker from deck guns. I've changed the RGB values in particles .dat for the halo colour to make it black - trouble is it still very much looks white. While the explosion itself has a fire / light look, the smoke, especially in WWII was very very black.

Also - the picture of the IOWA class firing in this thread, is, I think, a fairly modern one - where more modern propellant is used. I'm happy to be shot down on this, but I think that a WWII propellant would be much much blacker with smoke.

Is there any chance you could let me know how to do what you've done to the halo or provide some inputs into the TSWSM ?

Keep up the great work.
