This is deeply concerning...they've confessed, so start the trial proceedings and let justice take its course.

Agreed. Just don't execute them. That's exactly what they want...martyrdom. Just sentence them to life without parole, throw away the key and move on.

Yeah , until they have an appeal and the appeal finds they are convicted based on questionable confessions and dodgy legal practices.
Thats the problem with Gitmo , it doesn't serve justice .
