sh4 newbie

i have been on sh3(gwx) and now have sh4 any tips on mods i can use i.e jsgme and updates and do i have to uninstall sh3 to get mods to work with jsgme

You need JSGME within the SH4 directory. No need to mess with SH3 at all.

If you no longer want to play SH3, no problem. If you still want to play SH3 as well, just create a new install of JSGME and direct it to SH4. You can have as many JSGME installs as needed, one for every game you play.
