Apologies for my previous rant shipmates

I LOVE SH3 and played hundreds of hours on highest difficulty before getting locked out of my own game. I am afraid I let my frustration show a little in my last post, There is nothing on the XBOX which holds a candle to it really..I just can't get past the protection problem..ANY ideas woould be most appreciated chaps

I got a jewel case version at Amazon that doesn't have Starforce on it. It was $10 and is patched to 1.4b already.

You can pick up a pre-patched to 1.4, "No Starforce" version here: http://http://yhst-12000246778232.st...t/sihuiii.html for $9.99US. I've dealt with these people often & their service is fast & reliable. Just remember to tell them that you'd like a "No Starforce" version in the Comments section of your order.

I use the original SHIII disk I had for a few years. I just bought a new SHIII disk from Amazon just in case my disk becomes damaged or so. What is STARFORCE and how can I tell if either of my SHIII disk have it (STARFORCE) ? thanx Jerry

Usually, when you install SH3, it will ask you for your CD key, and also ask to install Starforce copy protection. I understand you cant play without doing this. Also, when you load the game up, a screen will show up for a few moments telling you it is checking the disk. Thats the copy protection.

Man its been so long since I've played SH3

I know the Budget brand of SH3 released in Australia under the "Thats Hot" title is starforce free as I know have SH3 & GWX 3.0 running beautifully on Windows 7 Beta, loads a lot faster as well.
