Filefront is closing down

Just a heads up to anybody who keeps their mods on FF, or who downloads them from there - it's shutting down indefinitely as of later today.

Actually it begs the question around the actual time in GMT....a fair amount of latitude there potentially for those last minute downloads

I noticed that myself just yesterday when I downloaded DDwake mod that you made ready for JSGME. Of course I turned around and deleted it, because I needed the reduced resolution 256x256. Doh!

It march 31st 12:57 CEDT (10:57 UT) now and I still managed to download a file from my page (Pisces347) there. Deletion of all those Peta-bytes (next 1000-level over 'Tera'

) must be taking them weeks to do it.

Interesting....the wording of their farewell message leaves some question about the ultimate status of their website:

Such a shame Jim, has always been a reliable no fuss place for downloading many game files without having to be a member,

looks like we'll have to edit our signatures!!

@ Neal, yes it is curious, I sent an email to thanks them for past use of their site, I also asked if there was any chance of re-opening, maybe even under a new name or possible buyer, who knows, maybe someone will bail them out, bit of a pain, I had quite a few pages uploaded there.
