Default Appearing watch PO

Just had an interesting one. I went to the crew management screen mid-mission to find that an extra sailor had mysteriously appeared. A PO qualified as a watchman.

I'm definetely did not promote another watchman and my crew is always set up so there are 4 spare berths for the watch crew when submenrged. Bizarrre.

Still, if all stowaways come qualified I'm really not going to complain!

MID-mission? I had a couple of possible answers until I saw that. Now I'm stumped.

Unless he was on there prior to me leaving port and I never noticed but I doubt it because it bugs me when crew hang around in the fwd torp compartment not doing very much and becoming exclaimation-marky, hence the spare berths.

Just checked my crew and they've all, according to the descriptions, had 8 patrols! Including my passenger...weird.

Yeah it is pretty weird. Let's hope that you don't lose anybody to this same bug(?)...

Is his name Bernard? If so that explains it all!
He was probably out on the piss in the town, went back to sleep it off, got on the wrong boat and only woke up mid mission behind the aft torpedo tubes to find himself covered in multi colored chunks and smelling somewhat like a public urinal!
Yep, sounds like Bernard alright!

He hung on to the periscope like Indy did in "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

I had to check!! If he'd been called Bernard it'd have been hilarious.

Cloning does seem to have been developed in the bow compartment of my u-boat though. There seems to be two Erich Schwarz's aboard...both the old watch qualified PO and the new arrival.

Amazing what the CE comes up with when he's off duty.

I've had it happen to me too once. 2nd patrol I think, enroute to pre-war patrolzone. Same as you I had just enough men onboard to keep all of them at propulsion, command, and sonar/radio with the rest in bunk(full). Then somewhere in the channel I find this stowaway. I don't know what could have caused it.
