Default fuel question

I have installed the RFB 1.52 mod, with it's last patch. Is there any compatible mod, that improves the fuel managment? Because in RFB, there is no difference between the consumption on slow setting nor the full ahead. At least when I checked the "range at current speed" button.

Then it's strange. I was running on ahead standard, and when I clicked on the "range at current speed" button, it told me some 6700miles. I changed the setting for ahead slow, ran for several hours and then checked the range again, and again it told me 6700miles.

Did your batteries happen to be charging when you checked? Ahead standard should give you the best range.

If you have patch 1.5 and finish a patrol or two successfully, and have some extra renown, you may be offered some guys with "special skills" I have a guy that increases range (a green gas can icon) and have noticed a signifigant increase in fuel economy as well as battery endurance. He was worth the bucks to me!

Not with RFB. All the gamey/arcadeish special skills were outright disabled.

Just check it.

When I left the Pearl Harbour and I run at Standard it shows more than 10000miles. At Full 4000miles and at 2/3 8400miles.

Bateries are at full. Btw, doesn't have 2/3 setting longer range than Standard?

Is it possible to get rid of those pesky icons then?

So, is there any chance how to save fuel with slower speed? With engines at standard, I can stay on patrol slightly longer than month. It's some 8-10days on station in patrol area, what is not enough IMO.

Thanks for help.

You do know that you can refuel at any of the anchor icons either coming or going right?

Standard will have the most efficent range, not 2/3.
