Default GWX & War ships difficulty level mod

Hello all!

I'm playing SH 3 with GWX and am finding it very, very difficult to shake the easiest war ships such as Trawlers and it's only '40 in the game for me. Can't imagine what it'll be like when I get to '42 and onwards...

Does anyone know if there's a mod for GWX that allows to change the difficulty level of war ships so I can progressively increase it as I go along and get better at it?

Thanks much!

When trying to shake off warships in GWX.
Try this:
Set speed to 1-2knts
Set silent running
Anything over 2 knts and you will be a easy target for the hunting DD's.

When i attack a convoy i fire my eels then dive fast to about 150m ( water under the keel dependent )
Then i hit silent running and 1-2 knts and slowly slink away to hit them again.
Also you might want to have a look in the GWX manual page 578.
The is a detailed Convoy attack guide there to help you attack a convoy submerged and on the surface and get away with out getting killed.
Hope this helps.
Happy Hunting.

Performing 10-15 degree turns every so often will also make life more difficult for any ASDIC operators you come across.

Welcome aboard 0v3rload

There are a few threads on SS that explain different evasive techniques if you try the 'Search' function under 'tactics'
