Default Widescreen Resolutions

Ok...I have searched and not really found an answer for how to set up DW on a widescreen monitor. I'm running vista with nvidia 8600 card and the newest drivers. How do I scale it properly? I've found some scaling options in the nvidia control panel, but not sure what settings are best. Or..is there an ini file that can be changed? Thanks in advance for assistance.

Dw does not support widescreen resolution. The only thing you can do is use the drivers (ati or nvidia) setting to scale keeping the correct aspect ratio (corresponding to the resolution you set in the game, so 1600x1200 is 4:3, 1280x1024 is 5:4 and 1024x768 is 4:3, 800x600 is 4:3).
On the nvidia control panel (and this works only if you use a digital video output so dvi, but not vga) go to change flat panel scaling and choose "use nvidia scaling with fixed aspect ratio".

Thanks for the reply. I did did it scaled to 4:3, but was hoping there would be a better way. When viewing the config file I noticed there was an option on screen stretching, or something along those lines, and thought......well maybe. :hmm: Oh well, at least it's still playable.

If you scale it without keeping the aspect ratio what happens is that the screens, everything will be deformed.
A circle will become oval shaped, etc..
Its not nice, although some people just don't care.
DW came out in 2005 so native widescreen support was never considered as a priority.
