![]() ![]() So does it means I get no reward for patrolling anymore?Or is there a way I can bypass this bug by loading a new mission? |

The "No renown for patrol" thing has been around since 2.1 . You can make your own patrol reward in a file somewhere, but I don't know :P
Someone more qualified will tell you though

1) You must be in port before doing this.
2) Goto C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg 3) Open Basic.cfg in notepad 4)Look for the following near the bottom: [RENOWN] RenownReachGridObjCompleted=0 RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=0 CompletedPatrol=0 change to [RENOWN] RenownReachGridObjCompleted=50 RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=100 CompletedPatrol=0 <--this one apparently has never worked.. or whatever floats your *ahem* boat. Then save..Voila ! Those are my settings - 50 for getting to the sector and 100 for completing - not a ton but IF you do 10 patrols that's 1500 renown - good for a few good men. It does work quite well. Cheers,

As I suspected. These seem to be the ones that were intended (start of the war, 2nd flottila):
Aug1000=BF13 Aug1001=BF11 Aug1002=BF14 Aug1003=BF15 Aug1004=BF12 the numbers 1000-1004 seem to be related with a indexing system in the file. It has no relavance to a year or date, other than the month shown. Hmm, you could try to spend 24 hours in each of them and find out which one is the real one. ![]() Last edited by Pisces; 12-28-08 at 07:08 AM. |

Thanks for the advice.I started a new career meanwhile with BF18 as patrol zone so hopefully it will not show up again. |

Where: Month = Jan through Dec. Flotilla = The flotilla index (0 to 7). Year = The year (0 to 6). 0 = 1939 and 6 = 1945 Submarine type = Key for the sub in question. (0=II, 1=VII, 2=IX, 3=XXI). Random grid = A way to randomise the allocated grid between 0 and 4. I take absolutely no credit for this - JScones (the author of SH3 Commander and JSGME) is the guy who deciphered the code.

For the above
Aug1000=BF13 indicates Flotilla 2 - 1st would have been 0 etc working down the list as Flotilla appear - Flotillas not starting in 39 will use 0 in their first year ie Flotilla 5 is Salamis 41 Oct5000=CO42 Aug1000=BF13 Indicates 1939 - 1 would be 1940 and so on Aug1000=BF13 Indicates first entry in the list of patril grids - 01 the second etc Make sense lol |
