GWX Patrol Reknown

Im sure this has been asked before, but in my defense, the search function is not always helpful in the sense that three letter words dont appear, nor does it help when a thread is 20 pages long.

The latest incarnation of GWX removes the reknown reward for completing your assigned patrol area.

Is ther an easy way to reverse this. I feel there ought to be at least some incentive to go poking about your assigned grid.

I know its controversial, but be that as it may, Its my own opinion and preference and Im asking nicely.

Be back in port

Go to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg

Open Basic.cfg in notepad

Look for

[RENOWN]
RenownReachGridObjCompleted=0
RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=0
CompletedPatrol=0

change to

[RENOWN]
RenownReachGridObjCompleted=300
RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=200
CompletedPatrol=100 < doesnt work anyway - never has

Or whatever floats your boat

I didn't know about this option and I can see why some may complain.

Thank you Danlisa for the post, I've added 50 renown for reaching and 100 for patrol. Not much, but I agree that a bit should be rewarded - especially if your struggling to even find a ship to sink.

I agree. Sometimes I RTP without even seeing any prey.
Very boreing to get nothing for it.

There's a mod for replacing the stock renown on the thread under my signature block.

HmmmmI tried manually editing the cfg as you mentioned.

However every time I reload my career it puts things back to zero.

I dont needa zillion points....just maybe 50-100 or so so at least I feel likeIm progressing just for staying alive and fulfilling my patrol requirements.
